An independently owned, managed and cherished Peak District Holiday Cottage in the picturesque village of Winster and available for your holiday or short break. Built around 1750, the cottage is Grade II listed and has a beautiful working inglenook fireplace. In common with our other Peak District cottages it is sited in a prime walking location yet is within easy reach of Matlock & Bakewell. The cottage sleeps 4 people and is equipped to a high standard. High speed WiFi is available throughout. The cottage is dog friendly. 3 or 4 night short breaks are available throughout the year from just £220.
We Take Your Break Personally
We know how important a relaxing holiday or short break is for our guests so we make every effort to provide all those little things that make a difference. All linen, towels, dishcloths, kitchen towels, cutlery and glassware are provided as well as dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Tea, coffee & sugar are provided as are logs for the open fire. if you have a problem with your booking before, during or even after your stay we will do our utmost to resolve it for you.
Just one small point to note; Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
An Introduction to Winster
Winster is a friendly and close knit village approximately 5 miles from Matlock and 6 miles from Bakewell. Formerly a centre for the local lead mining industry it is now one of the quaintest villages in the Peak District with many listed buildings. The village is set in the middle of fantastic walking country and is within easy driving distance of Haddon Hall, Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham and many other Peak District attractions.
