Jasmine Cottage is charming. From first booking with the owner, the excellently humoured Marian, we somehow knew it would be. The location itself is superb, Winster is a beautifully situated village and we leave envious of all who can call it home.
The Bowling Green was open and we enjoyed a great evening meal there; as we also did at The Miners Standard at the top of the village.
The cottage is a delight; though both tall we managed to move around with minimum concussion and much amusement. It’s so very homely, comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom and shower are a great bonus. Hugely efficient and refreshing. As a base, it’s perfect. Wonderfully adjacent to the rich vein of Bakewell puddings and, of course, to the other joys we encountered (including the Monsal Trail, The Crich Tramway Museum, Eyam plague village, The Chatsworth Estate and so much more)
Thank you, Marian for a wonderful holiday in a beautiful little cottage.
Lovely cottage, ceiling a bit low for 6ft 4″ husband but quickly got used to it. Friendly local shop. Unfortunately, The Bowling Green pub was closed on Monday/Tuesday. Visited Chatsworth – well worth a visit. We had great weather. Thank you
Interesting cottage – lovely area to explore and lots of places nearby.
